2016 NHRA Winternationals – SRT® Hellcat Style

 

The NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, CA is steeped in tradition and for 56 years, it’s been the jumping-off point for the start of the drag-racing season. The fact that the LA County Fairgrounds (now called Auto Club Raceway at Pomona) has hosted the Winternationals since 1961 is just plain cool. It’s sort of like watching a historic battlefield reenactment, but the soldiers have modernized weapons and the war they’re waging is real.

Jim Thornton’s Greatest Hits: Part 2

The Dodge high performance world lost a pioneer with the June 2, 2014, passing of former Chrysler Corp. Race Vehicle Design Manager and Ramchargers race team member, Jim Thornton. Recently, we reviewed some of Mr. Thornton’s many contributions to the evolution of Dodge stock-bodied drag race vehicles. Jim Thornton’s Greatest Hits: Part 2

Dodge and the Challenged Athletes Foundation

For the eighth year in a row, Dodge is sponsoring the Million Dollar Challenge, a seven-day, 620-mile bike race up the California coast beginning October 12. The ride from San Francisco to San Diego is dedicated to raise more than one million dollars for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), which funds grants to give disabled athletes sporting equipment to get back in the game.
