Hit The Ignition: R/T Convoy On The Road To Carlisle

Yesterday we told you it was the biggest gathering of Dodge enthusiasts in the world, an enormous display of show vehicles from the past 50 years.

Today we got the family together and we are going on a road trip.

Early this morning in the parking lot of the Walter P.Chrysler museum on the campus of Chrysler World Headquarters, a small group of Dodge Brand Managers got behind the wheel of a fleet of Dodge R/T vehicles and started a day-long trek to the All-Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, PA.

Leading the charge with a high octane punch with a 392 Hemi Engine is the Challenger SRT-8. Following the leader is a R/T pack that includes the Charger, Avenger, Durango, and Grand Caravan. Equipped with Sirius radio and satellite navigation- we’ll have no problem cruising through the rolling hills and farmland of Ohio. With the Grand Caravan’s cargo space we’ll have plenty of space for our gear and and any vintage parts we may come across at the swap meets. And with the UConnect WiFi Hotspot, we’ll be able to keep you updated on every step of our near-500 mile journey from Chrysler HQ to the Carlisle Fairgrounds.

Take a peek at our “Scat Pack” below and stay tuned for further updates here, on Facebook, and Twitter.

Sure seems weird to see the Dodge line-up and no Dodge Ram Trucks…
A Ram 1500 is more of a performance vehicle than a Caravan,Journey,Avenger,Durango ! The Ram R/T is one of the quickest new Mopar’s besides the SRT line-up..dead heat between Challenger R/T and a Ram R/T..
