The King Gets Crowned with Hall of Fame Honors

“The King” Richard Petty was named to the inaugural class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame this past Tuesday along with Dale Earnhardt, Bill France Sr., Bill France, Jr. and Junior Johnson.  Petty goes into the Hall of Fame with the most career victories (200), most poles (123) and tied with the most championships (7).

Busch & Kahne Catch up in the Chase at Charlotte

Kasey Kahne led 67 laps, before relinquishing the lead to race winner Jimmie Johnson with 40 laps to go, finishing third Saturday night at the NASCAR Banking 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The 13th top ten finish of the season for Kahne, moved him up two spots in The Chase to 9th.
