Yamaha Team to Drive Challenger SRT8 in Grand Prix Races

MotoGP Fiat Yamaha Team riders with a Dodge Challenger SRT8

MotoGP Fiat Yamaha Team riders former World Champion Valentino Rossi (right) and Jorge Lorenzo (left) switched gears to the 425-horsepower 6.1-liter HEMI engine of the Dodge Challenger SRT8 as they prepare for the MotoGP Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix races in Laguna Seca, California. While it’s not as nimble as their MotoGP bikes, the modern version of this iconic American muscle car sets its own performance standards whether on the street or on the track with a top speed of 170 mph. Rossi is only the second rider in MotoGP history to reach the milestone of 100 Grand Prix victories.

Maybe they can win again, if not at least there will be a cool looking car in the lineup. Good luck guys and lets see some more Challenger R/T Classics in red, orange, yellow, lime green, and purple show up at the dealers. Lets see the Rallyes as well. Thanks!

I just got off the phone with Bob Frederick and I have some great news. Bob will be the selling lots of Challengers again at New Wilmington Motors in New Wilmington, PA (about 20 miles from his former dealership). He will be facilitating the sales of Challengers at the dealership. The owner, Jeff Huey, was Bob’s former GM who left Frederick Chrysler Jeep Dodge five years ago to open his own dealership.

This made my day for sure because I held off purchasing a Challenger with the hope that I could order mine from Bob! But more importantly, Bob gets to do what he loves to do.

Bob said that he will be up and running within the next few days.

I make a bet that New Wilmington Motors becomes the number one Challenger Dealership in the world.

    Congrats Bob!

Hells yes! Not too many people on this blog will get the importance of Moto GP but the alignment of Fiat and Chrysler will force the exposure. This is a great story and it’ll take time before people realize it! With that, I’m a huge motorcycle roadracing fan and the alignment of Dodge and motorcycles is a great one. Dodge needs to do more exploration with motorcycle partnerships.
Lastly, if you haven’t watched a Moto GP race yet and more specifically Rossi, you need to NOW! Rossi is absolutely amazing!!! Watch him go sideways into the corners, wheelie off the corners and blow his competition away!

Lets start making the R/T Classics again. All I have seen are the B5 blue ones that are so optioned out that for a few thousand more I can buy an SRT. Come on, lets see the Classics in red, orange, yellow, sublime and plum crazy. Thanks!
