Dodge Charges Toward the Sprint Cup

The Chase is on!

If you’ve been following the Chase to the Championship as closely as we have, you already know the great news: Kurt Busch and Kasey Kahne will defend Dodge’s honor on the way to the 2009 Sprint Cup.

We’re scrambling to find the words for the excitement felt here at Red Letter Dodge, and at Dodge HQ. “Proud” is definitely at the top of the list. “Floored” sounds right, too.

Kurt and Kasey will definitely be keeping it floored for the rest of the season, and we’ll be bringing you coverage of the edge-of-your seat racing that’s sure to take place for the rest of the season.

How do you feel about the big news? Share your thoughts and words of encouragement for Kurt and Kasey as they prepare for the next 10 races.

Hmmm … Is it too early to start making more room in our trophy case?

Was also “Floored” when I heard Richard Petty Motorsports and Kasey Kahne were headed
to Ford next season. Not something to clap about.

As I said in a post further down:

God bless KK and KB, but as for next year…

Watch ChryCo bail on us one again… It pains me to say this, but I don’t see DODGE around in Nascar much longer. Next year yes, but after that, crap shoot. Any dolt with half a brain cell would know that when you are out numbered 13 to 1 on the track the law of averages has you lucky to win races let alone a championship. God bless Penske, but it looks like I will have a lot more free time in the months to come. DODGE committed to NASCAR? Mmmmmm, I doubt it.

Oh yeah, thanks Mike, for everything…

Come on Kurt and Kasey, lets win it all before Dodge pulls out of NASCAR!

Dodge has absolutely no commitment to motorsports!

    Hello All!!!

I could see why Richard Petty Motor Sports (RPM) is going to Ford. You are racing hard every week and then in the middle of the season Dodge stops making payments because of the bankruptcy (i.e.: I know, but it looks like to me,that Dodge would had some sort of plan to pay RPM to keep going during the reorganization).

Top all this off the head of Fiat/Chrysler is going to give his 5 year model plan in November and for 2010-11 model year they are going to rehash the 300/Charger (this should have been done two years ago) and starting selling small Fiats in Chrysler dealers, but I heard they will not be 200c hybrid for 2010.

Chrysler/Dodge needs to innovate and the racing program should help this plus with Fiat’s Ferrari racing division this should be a no brainer but, with the missteps Chrysler has already made cutting good dealers, cutting back on engineering department not marketing the great products they have now (the jeep wrangler 4 door and the Challenger), it makes me wonder!

I hope and pray that Chrysler makes it but with the last two years of actions I do not know….

Keep the faith!!!! Mopar forever (I hope)!!!!

Well at least the Keselowski’s get back to Chrysler /Dodge after years of neglect/dumping.
There is some Hope with Kurt and Brad @ Penske. I’m gonna miss AJ and Kasey though.
