Old-school enthusiasts first fell in love with the original and iconic Dodge Scat Pack vehicles at auto shows across the country during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Today, a new generation of car lovers is being initiated to the reborn Dodge Scat Pack at events such as the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Mich., open to the public January 18 – 26.

In 1962, Dodge entered in America’s booming new compact car category with the Dodge Lancer. Rolling out the year before, the Lancer lineup for ’62 included the 170 and 770 models in sedan and station wagon styles, along with the sporty and sophisticated model shown here, the Dodge Lancer GT Hardtop.

For 1963, Dodge shuffled its product lineup, dropping the old Lancer compact and applying the Dart badge to an all-new product called the “senior compact” line.
