Kurt Busch Takes Dodge To Victory Lane In Budweiser Shootout


 

Kurt Busch is considered one of the top restrictor-plate racers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.  However, his racing resume was void a victory at either of the two high-speed superspeedways (Daytona and Talladega) where NASCAR mandates a restrictor plate, that is until Saturday night.  Busch drove the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger to victory in the 33rd running of the Budweiser Shootout at Daytona International Speedway.

DODGES FAST AT TALLADEGA; LITTLE DRAFTING HELP IN FINAL LAPS
 
The three Dodge teams arrived at Talladega Superspeedway Friday morning with one of the two ingredients necessary to compete for a win – SPEED. No question, the Dodge Chargers were fast. All three started in the top 10. The other ingredient necessary is having the right drafting partner. Cars go a minimum of 10-15 miles per hour faster in the draft.
