You may recall that we recently announced (fine, bragged) that the Charger was an IIHS (Insurance Institute of Highway Safety) top safety pick in the Large Cars category. Well, were back to do it again: The Avenger continued to hold a Top Safety Pick for the midsized cars segment in 2011. Scoring top rank for several important tests (front, side, rollover and rear impact, not to mention bonus points for the electronic stability control), the Avenger can officially continue to pack safety under its belt, right next to its great style, efficiency and performance.
Just as Motor Trend recently found out, we arent messing around with the Avenger. The latest model has grown in leaps and bounds over the last one, and is more than ready to take on the big boys. Thanks in no small part to the availability of our tremendous new 283 horsepower 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 engine (one of Wards 10 Best, we might add), upscale interior and comfortable ride, the Avenger is easily one of the smartest choices out there for you guys who want it all, and now you can rest assured weve got you covered safety-wise as well. Dont expect anything less from us, though, as we plan to keep dishing out the 1-2 punches until everyone out there has taken notice. Its going to be a fun ride.

Love the changes made since 08 Model.
Any chance a New AWD version will be out?
Our 08 AWD R/T is a Great Car in all the elements
I agree with the safety rating of the Avenger, i was in a serious crash, the medics rolled up on scene and said this is going to be a fatal. When they got to me they were shocked that i was not only alive but able to help them in my own rescue, I walked away with a broken tibia and fibula but it should have been far worse! Thanks to the Avenger I am able to watch my son grow up!! Needless to say I went out and bought another Avenger since the first saved my life!! Thank you Dodge!!!!!!!!!
It’s on my Short List! 🙂
Where is the manual trans? How about an SRT version? Dodge says they are listening but I don’t believe them.
I had a really hard time liking this car in its last rendition. This one seems a little more refined. Maybe I’ll like it better. Jury is still out.
I bought a 2010 Avenger and love it. A best buy for the price and style.
WAT? 283 HP? I bought the 09 Avenger and its only 235HP, WTF? I’m pissed. Do I get an upgrade?
I love the car but my problem is that it isn’t something good for my three kids and husband but I love it
