Act Now, Posted By RLD | 09.3.2010 This week, AutoBlog has pitted the 2011 Dodge Durango squarely against the competition in a consumer poll. Hit the link and cast your vote to set them straight! Reply HEMIhead Posted September 4, 2010 at 11:13 am | Permalink I voted, but I don’t think the black color is going to help your cause in this case. A light color, or even white would have really made that thing look rich. You see how Phord picked their color for that photo? It’s all about using your brains here guys. Reply jre Posted September 4, 2010 at 5:36 pm | Permalink Any idea when we’re going to get all the details on the 2011 Challenger? My lust for a new car is hitting critical mass but I’m waiting on info! Crossing my fingers for good news but there’s a Synergy Green Camaro near my house that is hard to resist. Aaah! Reply Tazallen Posted September 7, 2010 at 5:41 pm | Permalink 9-7-10 Hello all!!! The Durango looks good but why build it???? Is there enough differences between the Durgano and the Cherokee to justified the cost ??? After Chrysler LLC closed allot of dealerships last year to consolidate all the dealers to CDJ under one roof why spend money on the Durango when you could put that money into building a Chally convertible or something that won’t take sales from one of your great products (IE: The new Jeep Grand Cherokee)… Tazallen Reply tr4petty Posted September 9, 2010 at 12:04 pm | Permalink Why build it? Because it can be built very economically on the same assembly line as the Grand Cherokee but still given enough of its own identity to atract different buyers, that’s why. I know people who love Dodge but never even look at Jeeps and I’m sure there are people that look at Jeep but wouldn’t think about buying a Dodge. This way, Chrysler can cover both types of customer with very little added expense. It’s called making the most of what you have. Great idea Chrysler! And for the record, I like them both but the Nitro/Liberty suits our needs a little better at a pretty substantial cost savings. We just recently bought a new Liberty Ltd and love it. I wanted the Nitro because I liked it’s looks better. The wife liked the Liberty better. Since this vehicle purchase was mainly for her (I have a Dodge Ram 2500 4×4 diesel), we went with the Liberty. Anyway, my point is, two vehicles coming off the same assembly line can be made economically but still be different enough to appeal to different people. Reply Rebe1980 Posted September 9, 2010 at 3:50 pm | Permalink Oh I am so excited to see that they changed the look of the durango! I have 2001 durango and love that style…..I hated the style they then came out with. It was so unattractive. This new one seems alot better! It almost looks to me like the Magnum but all jacked up. I love it! i love dodge and after buying my Durango 6 years ago I will never own any other than a dodge. Reply Julie Cannon Posted October 11, 2010 at 7:01 pm | Permalink Thank God that someone came to their senses and brought the Durango back! I don’t understand why there are changes to the height and the front of the 2011. Those were two of the strongest selling points for me, I LOVE that the front looked like a real Dodge Ram and the head room is a necessity for my tall male family members. What up??? I am still a fan, but pray that these things are FIXED!!!! Reply Donna Posted November 4, 2010 at 4:14 pm | Permalink It’s about time it showed up again. I have owned one previously and it can’t be beat. I want one, in deep, deep purple/navy. I loved it the style it was before, so I don’t know why so many changes, but I still LOVE it!
