Texan’s Know a Good Thing

Our friends in the lone star state know a good thing when they see it, or should we say drive it. On Monday the Texas Automotive Writers Association finished its annual Spring Auto Roundup of testing new cars and trucks. They awarded winners in seven categories after reviewing more than 50 vehicles and putting them through a battery of tests and evaluations at the Texas Motor Speedway.

These seasoned journalists who have driven and tested hundreds of vehicles awarded our new Dodge Journey “Family Car of Texas”. With its well designed and well thought out storage options along with the seven-passenger seating, we appreciate the comparison. Our new Journey also loaded with a high-tech entertainment system that includes our Uconnect® Touch 8.4-inch infotainment screen so you’ll always be in the loop wherever your travels take you.

Speaking of travels, the new award-winning 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 will knock down 25 miles per gallon on the highway while delivering 283 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft of torque. Therefore, the Journey’s power train won’t break a sweat when hauling your family, the dog and all of your camping gear during that summer vacation to the lake.

Texas is the second largest state in United States and has the biggest the highway system in terms of length, therefore we figure these folks know a thing or two about what makes a great family vehicle.
