Functionality Meets Performance: A Look at the Redesigned Exterior of the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT® 392

Whenever the Dodge/SRT® design team begins a vehicle project, two main objectives—functionality and performance — are at the top of the ledger, so it’s no surprise that those two principles served as the roadmap when the time came to redesign the widely popular Dodge Charger SRT 392. 
The exterior of the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT 392 was completely redesigned from front to back, using elements from both the design studio and the engineering department. The ultimate goal was to create an even more aggressive and sinister-looking vehicle than the outgoing car. 

Charger SRT® Nose

“We had a tall assignment in front of us, because the 2012 Charger SRT was pretty successful and pretty aggressive, ” said Nicho Vardis, Design Manager of the Charger’s exterior. “That particular car had a very strong presence on the road, so when we started sketching the design, we went after something that was much more aggressive than what we had. We wanted the Charger to be even more visible from 50 to 100 feet and for people to know exactly what it is.”
