Keselowski Finishes Third at Darlington

 

Darlington Raceway lived up to its rugged reputation as the track “Too Tough To Tame” Saturday night.  The track played no favorites and in the end, pit strategy and a green-white-checkered finish determined the outcome of the 62nd edition of the Southern 500 with Regan Smith getting his first career victory.

 

Brad Keselowski drove his No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger R/T to his first top-five finish of the season and wheeled the “Blue Deuce” to a third-place finish on the 1.366-mile, egg-shaped oval.  Patience, perseverance…

Richmond Track Tough Challenge for Dodge Sprint Cup Teams

 

Richmond International Raceway proved to be a difficult challenge for the three Dodge teams this past Saturday night.  The trio ran into problems early in the 400-lap Sprint Cup event and never recovered.

Kurt Busch Wins Gatorade Duel Qualifying Race


 


Kurt Busch’s 2011 season ledger remains unblemished.  Busch drove his No. 22 Pennzoil/Shell Dodge Charger to victory in Thursday’s first Gatorade Duel (60-lap, 150-mile) at Daytona International Speedway.


Just as in his win in the Budweiser Shootout under the lights Saturday night, Busch had help from a drafting partner.  This time it was Regan Smith.  The two paired up early and stayed together the entire race, swapping positions occasionally to keep their racing machines from overheating.
