I enjoy driving all 3 of my Dodge Dakota’s during the summer time. Each of my trucks serve its own purpose and have served me reliably. I have one that is my work truck my 1999 Dakota SLT,My 1992 is for show and cruising, then my 1988 which I Drag race Gotta Love each and everyone of them for their distinct personality’s but the all have that subtle MOPAR Flair to them.

Helping my father, bleed brakes and cleaning engine parts for his dodge cars/trucks so he can resale them, when I was very young. This was daily and how he made extra money on the side besides working for chrysler. Plus, I do recali when I was 4, being awaken by my Dad’s 1970 Challenger purple R/t every morning when he leaves for work, my window was next to the driveway. :) Loved the sound of MOPAR in the morning. RIP pops.

My favorite summer past time begins with getting up early on the weekend and cleaning my Mopars. First to get cleaned is my 1972 340 Duster. The my limited Edition 2008 Challenger #904. About 10 o’clock the guys in the neighborhood start showing up and it’s like my own private car show.

So we talk about Mopars new and old and really make an event of it. Too often the male bonding is ruined by the sound of several wives calling from the front door, “you want to come home now?’

If we just figure out how to make the girls sleep in a little later we could make it to noon then the cold beer could flow. Now that would be a perfect summer man day.
