Dodge Dominates in Topeka

 

Allen Johnson qualified his Dodge Avenger in the number one position and then mowed through a tough 16-car field to win the Pro Stock crown at the Dollar General NHRA Summernationals in Topeka, Kansas.

 

Johnson’s 6.618 e.t. at 207.85 mph on Friday edged Summit Racing teammates Jason Line and Greg Anderson for the top qualifying spot.  Johnson then drove his Mopar-sponsored Dodge Avenger around Ronnie Humphrey, Ron Krisher, and Shane Gray in successive rounds to meet Anderson in the final, where he put away the four-time…

It all came down to the final race of the 2011 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series in Pomona, California this weekend.
